My name is Arzu Ahmadova and I am a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. I have recently graduated PhD study in Mathematics. Moreover, I have a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics (in particular, Computational Mechanics) from the University of Stuttgart under the supervision of PD. Dr. Anthony C. Pickett. I also have completed M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics (in particular, Computational Mechanics) from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia under the same Erasmus+Joint Master degree scholarship program.
My main research interests are theoretical foundations of Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning. I am currently working on convergence analysis of gradient descent and stochastic gradient descent processes. Moreover, I have several projects on stochastic evolution equations with fractional time derivative, their qualitative theory (controllability, stability, and well-posedness) and existence theories for optimal control problems involving discrete time stochastic differential equations.
