My name is Arzu Ahmadova, and I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany). I have graduated PhD study in Mathematics with summa cum laude from Eastern Mediterranean University (Turkey) in 2022. Before that, I earned a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, specializing in Computational Mechanics, from the University of Stuttgart (Germany). I also hold an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics with a focus on Computational Mechanics from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona), completed as part of the Erasmus+ Joint Master Degree Scholarship Program.
My primary research interests lie in the theoretical foundations of Deep Learning and Scientific Machine Learning (SciML). My current work focuses on the mathematical analysis of optimization algorithms, particularly the convergence behavior of gradient-based and stochastic methods, and their applications in deep neural networks. More recently, I have become deeply engaged in scientific machine learning, with a particular focus on physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) and operator learning frameworks for solving ordinary and partial differential equations and related scientific problems.
